Yu is a passionate graphic designer who believes that design has the power to change the world. With 2 years of experience in the industry, she specializes in branding, packaging design, and user interface design. Yu enjoys making ideas visible through a creative process that involves background research, exploration, and storyboarding. Driven by a strong purpose to solve problems through beautiful and functional designs, Yu is excited to contribute to Sisters in Hands and help empower solo moms. Her goal is to continue growing as a designer, aiming to become a senior or lead graphic designer in the next few years.

MARY JOHNSON

Mary is a dedicated Virtual Assistant who is passionate about supporting solo moms and helping them navigate the challenges they face. Raised in a family closely connected to the struggles of single motherhood, with her sister being a single mom, Mary feels a deep connection to the mission of Sisters in Hands. She believes in using her skills to make life easier for solo moms, allowing them to focus on their families and careers. Her purpose in life is to make a positive impact on the world, and she’s excited to contribute to the journey of empowering solo mothers towards independence and happiness.

DAVINA CHAMBERS

Davina, a New York native with a deep affection for helping others, brings her diverse skills in art, philosophy, math, lighting, and administration to the Sisters in Hands team. Though she wasn’t raised by a single parent, Davina understands what it’s like to face dark and lonely times, and she knows the importance of having a helping hand. When she’s not sitting in nature or exploring the city, Davina enjoys reading, drawing, watching TV, and spending time with her family dog. Her purpose in life is rooted in her natural knack for helping others, and she’s excited to contribute her talents to support solo moms through Sisters in Hands.

CHARITY OLUCHI 

Charity, a dedicated Virtual Assistant, is passionate about streamlining business operations for busy professionals, ensuring maximum growth and personal time support. Hailing from Nigeria, Charity brings a wealth of skills in email management, social media management, and data entry. She is volunteering with Sisters in Hands to spread love and support, and to sharpen her skills with hands-on experience. As someone raised by a single parent, she deeply connects with the mission of Sisters in Hands. Her life purpose is to succeed by living for others and spreading God’s love. Charity is excited to contribute her expertise to help solo moms thrive.

UMAMA ARSHAD

Hi, I am Umama Arshad. I am currently a PhD scholar and a visiting lecturer in the Department of Project and Operations Management at Islamia University of Bahawalpur. My academic journey has been fueled by a deep passion for research and teaching, where I aim to inspire and empower the next generation of leaders in the field. Beyond academia, I am also a professional graphic designer with extensive freelance experience on Fiverr. This blend of creativity and academic rigor allows me to approach challenges with a unique perspective, bringing innovative solutions to both the classroom and the design world. One of my most cherished goals is to assist "Sisters in Hands," a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting solo mothers. As a divorcee myself, I have firsthand experience of the struggles faced by solo mothers. This personal journey has instilled in me a deep sense of empathy and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of others who share similar experiences. Through my work, whether in academia, design, or nonprofit endeavors, I strive to create positive change and offer support to those in need.

I'm Francisco Guerra, a hyper and happy person, I studied marketing and specialized in social media management, I was raised in Mexico, I moved back to the U.S. 6 years ago, my hobbies are Running, playing soccer, and Muay Thai, my life purpose is to help other people, I'm always looking learn new things and experiment new experiences.
