#MEET FABIANA

Psychoanalyst Fabiana Guntovitch, 51, has dedicated her career to helping as many people as possible find inner peace and harmony in their relationships. "Without peace, discernment and common sense can be impaired, impacting mental, emotional, and physical health," reflects Fabiana.

With a postgraduate degree in Neuroscience and Behavior and specializing in relationships, Fabiana attends women, men, couples, and teenagers in her São Paulo practice. "Psychotherapies occupy a space beyond the treatment of psychopathologies; it's an opportunity for support, aiming not only to heal but to prevent emotional pain, providing self-knowledge, redefinition, psychoeducation, and support for facing life's challenges," she states.

Fabiana believes that all pain is an opportunity for learning and evolution, no matter how difficult the process. Inside and outside the office, she addresses sensitive topics that cause significant psycho-emotional pain, such as trauma, bullying, abusive relationships, misogyny, prejudices, and various forms of violence.

In her daily practice, Fabiana employs approaches such as Psychoanalysis, NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), a non-conventional but complementary therapy effective in treating traumas.

Fabiana connects with many women who, like her, have spent their lives trying to balance numerous social and personal demands without losing themselves along the way, which is not easy. Her personal experience reflects in her work, where approximately 85% of her patients are women. "I understood early on the importance of staying true to my values, respecting my time, not comparing myself to others, and setting healthy boundaries in my relationships. Helping other women in this necessary process is a pleasure and a mission. That's why today, promoting self-love and combating ageism and sexism are important causes in my life," she says.

With 20,000 followers on Instagram, Fabiana uses social media to share teachings and reflections. She believes that when used wisely, social media can be valuable tools. "We need to demystify mental health issues and end the stigma associated with psychopathologies. Social media are important megaphones, and we must be responsible for what we share, ensuring our messages are kind, truthful, and psychoeducational," she observes.

Fabiana believes in the possibility of building a more harmonious world and does her part through her practice, social media, lectures, talks, and books. In 2023, she released "Stop Fighting: A Small Manual for Living in Peace," an invitation to self-discovery and the construction of a harmonious life.
